Meadow Wedding Inspiration: Al Fresco Dining, Metallics & Wild Greenery

When photographer Lena Sabala approached us with the idea for this meadow shoot, the brief was beautifully simple: al fresco dining, a metallic backdrop, and a colour palette built around white, silver and green.

The result is the kind of effortless outdoor wedding inspiration we wish we saw more often — relaxed, romantic, and quietly striking.

Set in a wild summer meadow, Lena created a scene that feels both editorial and intimate. A soft white draped backdrop framed the ceremony space, layered with natural greenery by Wedding Flowers by Susan, creating a fresh, organic look that blended seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. "I wanted to showcase foliage as the focus, rather than filler."

At the centre of it all, our bride wore the Brody gown by Jenny Yoo, available at Unbridaled. The strapless silhouette and subtle floral jacquard fabric felt perfectly at home in the meadow setting — structured enough for an editorial moment, yet soft enough to feel completely effortless outdoors.

For the reception scene, Coorie Styling created a relaxed al fresco tablescape nestled into the grass. Flowing linens, delicate tableware and layered textures kept the styling light and romantic, while metallic elements echoed Lena’s original vision for a silver-toned backdrop. Against the natural greens of the meadow, the white and silver palette felt fresh, modern and quietly luxurious.

It’s a colour combination we don’t see nearly enough at real weddings — white, silver and green — but in this setting it works beautifully. Clean, elegant and understated, it allows the natural surroundings to take centre stage while still feeling elevated.

And perhaps the best thing about this shoot is how achievable it feels. Strip away the meadow and the concept still works: a metallic backdrop, soft florals, relaxed dining and a gown that lets the setting shine.

Proof that sometimes the simplest ideas make the most beautiful weddings.
