If you’re hunting for wedding dress inspiration that breaks the mould and flowers that are easy and 'ready to wear' you’re in for a treat. Recently, we dove into a studio shoot that’s all about celebrating brides who want something a little different, a little simpler, and a whole lot of personality. This shoot wasn’t just about pretty dresses and blooms—it was a love letter to every bride who dreams of a wedding vibe that feels uniquely hers.

The shoot took place at the Grindhaus Studio in Glasgow, a perfect backdrop for showcasing the new floral collection called Floral Renegade by my good friend Lisa from Floral Menagerie. We carefully picked four distinct bridal looks to show how different styles can shine with a simpler yet still stunning approach to wedding flowers. Ready to meet the gowns and get inspired? Let’s jump in.

Sculptural Elegance with a Minimalist Twist

First up, we have the Monetre gown—a sculptural masterpiece in pale gold satin. This dress is all about luxury without the fuss. The draped fabric feels rich and sumptuous, but the clean lines keep it modern and minimalist. It’s perfect for brides who want to feel a million dollars but not weighed down by frills.

To complement this gown, Lisa’s Floral Renegade collection brought in deep burgundy and chartreuse flowers. The colors pop against the pale gold satin, creating a striking contrast that feels both bold and refined. This look is for the bride who loves drama but prefers to keep things sleek and simple.

Dreamy Romance in Flowing Tulle

Next, we switched gears to a softer, more romantic vibe with a flowing tulle Adena gown by Balykina Bride. This dress features a Basque waist that flatters the figure and adds a touch of vintage charm. The layers of tulle float like a dream, perfect for brides who want to feel like they’re walking on clouds.

The same floral arrangements here instantly feel more romantic, still keeping the minimalist spirit alive. This look is ideal if you want your wedding flowers to whisper elegance rather than shout.

Fun and Flirty with a High-Low Convertible Hem

For brides who want to keep things light and playful, the Savannah gown by Jenny Yoo stole the show. This high-low convertible hem dress is all about versatility and fun. It’s less serious, more dance-floor-ready, and perfect for a bride who wants to mix things up.

Lisa’s bouquet for this look bursts with bright pinks and fresh greens, adding a lively pop of color that matches the gown’s youthful energy. If you’re the kind of bride who wants your flowers to feel joyful and spontaneous, this is your vibe.

The Ultimate City Elopement Mini Dress

Last but definitely not least, we featured the Winnie mini dress by Jenny Yoo. This one’s for the city bride who’s all about sleek, chic, and effortless style. The mini length screams modern elopement, perfect for intimate weddings or courthouse ceremonies.

The bouquets colours pop against the starker white glossy fabric and it’s a reminder that sometimes less really is more, especially when you want to keep things cool and casual.

Behind the Scenes Magic

This shoot wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible talents behind the camera and in front of it. Whitney Graham captured every detail with an eye for light and mood, making sure each gown and bouquet told its own story. Our model and make up artist, Alisa, brought warmth and authenticity to every shot, embodying the spirit of each bride style perfectly.

Why This Shoot Matters for Brides

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the endless options for wedding dresses and flowers, this shoot offers a fresh perspective. It shows that you don’t have to go over the top to make a statement. Sometimes, a simpler approach with carefully chosen details can create a look that’s just as memorable and meaningful.

Here’s what you can take away:

  • Match your dress style with your floral vibe. Whether you’re sculptural and bold or soft and romantic, your flowers should feel like a natural extension of your dress.

  • Don’t be afraid to mix colors and textures. The rich burgundy with chartreuse or the bright pinks with greens show how unexpected combos can work beautifully.

  • Think about your wedding mood. Are you all about fun and movement? The high-low dress and lively bouquet might be your perfect match. More classic and dreamy? The flowing tulle and soft blooms will suit you.

  • Keep it personal. The mini dress look reminds us that your wedding style should fit your life and personality, not just tradition.
