Ah, Scotland! The land of rolling hills, stunning landscapes, and castles that seem torn from a fairy tale. If you're a bride-to-be planning your dream wedding in 2026 or 2027, you're in for a wonderful experience! Recently, we hosted a photoshoot at the breathtaking Blairquhan Castle in Ayrshire, and it was nothing short of enchanting.

The Venue: Blairquhan Castle

Let’s talk about the venue. Blairquhan Castle is a hidden treasure in the heart of Ayrshire. With its magnificent architecture and lush gardens, it's the perfect backdrop for any wedding.

Imagine exchanging vows surrounded by this Regency era castle's grandeur, with the historical gardens surrounding you. An ancient sycamore which stands in the shadow of the castle is thought to be a gallows tree, planted early in the 16th century during the reign of King James V of Scotland.

Meet the Models

For our photoshoot, we had the pleasure of working with three captivating models, each bringing her unique style and personality. Here is a closer look at these fantastic ladies!

Emili: The Modern Bride

First, we have Emili, our dark-haired beauty, who perfectly embodied the modern bride. She wore two luxurious silk gowns from the Scandi-inspired label Viktoria Chan, which is exclusive to Unbridaled throughout the UK.

The first gown featured a sleek, minimalist design that beautifully hugged her figure, while the second gown showcased delicate draping for an added touch of drama. Emili’s style radiated elegance and sophistication, perfect for a bride who wants to make a statement without excess.

Ava: The Classic Bride

Next is Ava, our blonde sensation who effortlessly showcased two stunning gowns by New York based bridal queen - Jenny Yoo. Her first look was a delicate lace drop waist gown (Miriam) with accessory of the moment - a tulle scarf. Her second look, my personal favourite, was Lafayette - a unique crinkle cut habotai asymetric drop waist gown with balloon hem skirt and massive train.

Karli: The Bold Bride

Finally, we present Karli, a finalist for Miss GB Ayrshire and an absolute showstopper. We dressed her in a chic white satin suit and a playful mini dress. This look was young and fun, appropriate to her age and highlights the versatility of our civil/regisitry/afterparty type gowns.

Karli’s confidence illuminated every shot, proving that bridal fashion can break tradition while remaining beautiful.

The Creative Team

Of course, no photoshoot is complete without a talented professional team to bring visions to life. Derek Dunlop, who captured every moment with his creative touch.

Hair styling was elegantly done by Cherry Cherry by Loredana, who created stunning looks that complemented each model perfectly. From relaxed waves to sleek updos, Loredana’s skills shone through every hairstyle.

Makeup artist Laura Dewar MUA enhanced the models’ natural beauty with flawless makeup looks. From soft, romantic tones to bold, dramatic eyes, Laura’s artistry brought each bridal style to life and highlighted the importance of a skilled team.

A Magical Bridal Journey Awaits

Our photoshoot at Blairquhan Castle was an unforgettable experience, showcasing stunning bridal styles for 2026 and 2027 weddings. From Emili’s modern twist to Ava’s classic opulence and Karli’s bold statement, each model contributed something unique.

As you plan your own wedding, remember that your bridal style should express who you are. Whether you opt for a traditional gown or something unconventional, feeling confident and beautiful is what truly matters on your special day.

To all brides-to-be, let your creativity flow, embrace your individuality, and make your wedding a true reflection of you. Happy planning, and may your bridal journey be filled with joy and excitement!
